PA188 residential project involved the complete renovation of a Gründerzeit apartment in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg. The approach focused on preserving and restoring original elements wherever possible, including historic wooden floors, refreshed ornamental stucco, and reworked brass door handles.

While the layout was entirely reconfigured, the new plan integrates contemporary living needs through a fully custom wood kitchen, a rain-shower bathroom, and carefully curated furniture and material selections. The result balances the apartment’s historical character with a clear, modern spatial language.
