Strom is a seasonal courtyard café in Berlin, conceived as a quiet retreat for selected coffee, small dishes, and afternoon drinks. Tucked within a historic industrial complex from 1911, the space unfolds between interior and courtyard, encouraging a slow, tactile experience that shifts with the seasons.
Opened in late 2025, Strom was conceptualized and designed by Celeste Asfour, with a material palette rooted in craftsmanship and heritage techniques. Wood-fired terracotta tiles and hand-produced Murano glass lamps form the backbone of the interior, complemented by contemporary elements such as steel detailing and recycled resin surfaces. These contrasts are unified through classic materials - warm cherry wood and a sculptural brutalist rose-marble bar, resulting in a space that balances tradition and modernity with restraint and intention.
